The job of a laborer is to assist the foreman and locator. The laborer is expected to complete a variety of different tasks, they may vary on a day-to-day basis. To succeed in this role, you should be a fast learner, have good listening skills, ability to read maps and work well in a fast-paced environment. Position Responsibilities: Ability to operate hand tools and small equipment such as jack hammer, saws and drills, help load materials and/or equipment, clean/restoration of job sites, keep equipment clean, help with digging holes, fill out daily pre-trip inspections on any vehicle you drive, work in different temperatures and changing weather conditions, operate a hydrovac to excavate and identify existing utilities. Able and willing to use a shovel when needed. Requirements: Class A CDL is a plus, or willing to get within 3 months of being hired, construction background preferred, but not required, clean driving record, good communication skills and able to take direction from crew foreman and work well with others.
